Vanessa Molina Nacato

Vanessa Molina Nacato is a dedicated and passionate interior designer and environmental architecture student. She was able to explore and develop her artistic ideas and adapt them to the challenges of existing buildings' interior space, it has allowed her to do critical thinking, problem-solving, and appreciate the history building structure by preserving and repurposing the building use.

Nacato is interested in the influence on social needs, environmental impacts, and how art design influences a building to be re-used to preserve history and be friendly to the environment. Throughout her 3 years at Ravensbourne University. London, she mastered her software skills and understood the principles of interior architecture design. Nacato is ready to embark on her new journey and continue her learning to have a broad understanding of interior architecture principles and explore various interior designs that are adapted to the surrounding environment.

Interactive art exhibitionTo attract visitors to the Zaha Hadid Foundation and continue her legacy, on the back of the building it was proposed to create a three curved wall, it was inspired by Zaha Hadid 'Heydar Aliyev Centre' for its flowy curve. It allowed to extent the room for the exhibition and built a new entrance for the interactive art exhibition for the public. There was an opportunity to create a roof terrace café garden.
'Care' for the community
'Care' for the communityFor the Final Major Project proposed a public library for the borough of Southwark. Refurbish the interior space by creating a fun intertwining staircase inspired by the Livrari Lello staircase and took the advantage of being beside Southwark park, to create a timber glass frame for the whole facade on the ground floor to create an enjoyable atmosphere for the users.
