Tyler Worthington
Worthington is a mature and creative designer looking for new ways to push the boundaries of graphic design, combining mediums and concepts. He specialises in editorial, book making, moving image, sound design, and collage.
Final Major Project Book 1: My Dream “Festival” – This book is an abstract interpretation of a dream Worthington had years ago where he went to a festival at night with his dad. Mediums used include watercolours scanned in then reprinted and bound with washi tape.
Final Major Project Book 2: Wolf's Dream “Gifts” – This book is an abstract interpretation of a dream described by a friend called Wolf. In the dream they were out for a walk with their family on this huge sea wall, and they came across some strangers who gave them various gifts. Mediums used include photos taken in Dorset, photographed through tracing paper, made into a single sheet that when folded out creates multiple posters.
Final Major Project Book 3: Louis' Dream “Chased” – This book is an abstract interpretation of a nightmare described by one of Worthington's oldest friends called Louis. In it he is being chased by animalistic people in a dystopian city. Mediums used include hand collage fragmented and printed on tracing paper.
Final Major Project: Louis' Dream “Chased” – This is a video made combining abstract visuals and the audio from an interview between Worthington and Louis about his dream.
Unit X: J.G. Ballard's High-Rise: An Interactive Set Design – For this piece Worthington made a modular set design that comes to life through projection mapping. Each section of the abstract visuals represents the story of J.G. Ballard's novel “High-Rise”.
