Madalina Moraru
Madalina Moraru is a highly motivated graduating architecture student who is passionate about innovation and non-referential design. Her architectural approach is firmly grounded in the belief that buildings should be meticulously designed to respond to the distinct needs and aspirations of the communities they serve. Moraru's studies have fostered a strong interest in participatory design processes that emphasise social inclusion and local knowledge. Drawn to the works of influential architects such as Jean Nouvel and Santiago Calatrava, Moraru aspires to explore new frontiers in architectural design while staying rooted in the practicalities of each project's unique setting. She is especially impressed by Nouvel's talent for designing eye-catching, unique shapes that harmonise with their environment and Calatrava's skill in combining engineering and art to design buildings that are both practical and artistic.
Moraru is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sustainable design and net-zero architecture as she envisions the future. She strongly emphasises the importance of the built environment in tackling climate change and strives to develop projects that prioritise both environmental sustainability and human well-being. Moraru's academic work and personal projects showcase her exceptional critical thinking skills, effective collaboration abilities, and clear and persuasive communication style.
