Lola Moro
Lola Moro is an Interior Architecture student who likes to push the boundaries of spatial design through model-making. Over the last three years she developed a process that kickstarts from models of the existing site and building, developing it through smaller pieces that get incorporated and iterated over time. In the switch from Architecture to Interior Architecture, Moro looked to work closely with existing buildings, incorporating new visions into historical structures. She finds this juxtaposition fun to elaborate and also gives room for more unique solutions to emerge. A list of her favourite practices includes Fala Atelier, Flores i Prats, and O'Donnell + Tuomey.

The growing stations on the interior of the allow for a more effective management of hydroponic crops. The design based on a track system allows the plants to move and have optimised access to daylight as they move through the maintenance unit.
A water pipe façade system was created for this project and there were changes in the topography to address contamination and create sustainable urban drainage systems. The ponds direct excess water into the existing underground tank, where it is stored, filtered and taken up to the plants via the façade pipes.
Temporal Thresholds – Was a project in partnership with Zaha Hadid Foundation which involved designing educational spaces. Part of the proposal was a modular study pod that would be flexible to place anywhere in their Grade II listed building. Although, when placed together, the pods would share skylights through a tessellating pattern. (Y3 Sem1)
