Leonie Faulkner's interest in art, design and sustainability has inspired her to create products with a focus on the materials used as well as their functionality and durability. During her time on the Foundation course, she was able to develop her software skills to better communicate her designs. Faulkner also learned methods to generate and iterate designs to come up with a wider variety and adapt her creations to a variety of scenarios.

For her Final Major Project she experimented with using pistachio shells (food waste) to create an environmentally friendly material. Faulkner aspires to further develop her knowledge on sustainable materials on her journey as a designer.
