Jirath Dan Tansukawat

Jirath Dan Tansukawat is a Thai illustrator whose distinctive visual language is deeply influenced by beloved video games, such as Helltaker and Hades, and notable anime titles like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. Through his illustrations, Tansukawat seeks to offer his viewers a glimpse into his innermost thoughts and sentiments, exploring themes inspired by his favourite media and his personal struggles with self-expression.

Often, Tansukawat infuses his illustrations with intricate detailing and bold, yet delicate strokes. At a glance, his work appears simple but looking closer into the details, the viewer may notice the recurring inclusion of elements such as aquatic life or interstellar aesthetics, a hallmark of his style. These little elements represent significant aspects of his personal life, act as his signature, and add layers of depth and meaning to his work the longer you look.

The Self Stares Back – Like many others, Tansukaw often looks back at his life with hatred-filled eyes so much so that it's as if he's stalking himself in disdain. This project explores this self-hatred and regret.

Utopia – This illustration is meant to convey what utopia would look like. It's got everything Tansukawat loves: Sharks, Squids, Greek/Roman Architecture, a Starry Sky, Dogs, Cats, etc. All these beautiful elements are personal to him and that's what makes it a utopia.

Promotional Ciggy Box – This is a design illustrated (and printed!) that's based on the Marlboro's cigarette box design. The choice of a ciggy box is admittedly for the shock factor and fortunately (or unfortunately), the box will only contain information cards and no drugs.

A Silly Aquatic Duo – This is a GIF showreel that depicts a cute, little duo of a shark and octopus doing various activities.
