Freya Sanderson is a young creative student based in London. Sanderson has just completed the Ravensbourne University London Art and Design Foundation, specialising in Fashion Communication. Sanderson’s main interest is fashion and documentary photography, using both film and digital mediums. She is passionate about collaborating with other students from different creative backgrounds, such as photographing garments designed by Fashion Textiles students. Although her focus on the Foundation degree was in Fashion Communication, Sanderson specialised in Fashion Textiles before joining this course and is a talented pattern cutter, sewer, and knitter, creating custom bespoke knitwear orders to sell through online platforms such as Etsy, Depop, and Vinted. Sustainability and slow fashion are central to Sanderson’s design ethos, using secondhand resources to gather her materials to construct her knitwear, which she then photographs in the studio.
