Eva Stammers
Eva Stammers is a London based Fashion design student, she has just completed a fashion and textiles foundation diploma at Ravensbourne University London, where she discovered a passion for womenswear and print design. Throughout her year at Ravensbourne University London, Stammers has taken inspiration from a variety of fine artwork. She extracts various shapes, silhouettes, textures and colour palettes to incorporate into her garment and print designs. The inspiration for Stammer’s foundation Final Major Project was sparked after seeing a painting by Pablo Bronstein titled Molly House (2023). After vigorously researching the history and story behind the Molly Houses of the Georgian Era, she wanted to tell the stories of the suppressed queer community during the 18th century and raise awareness of these past issues through her final garment.
Stammer is also conscious of sustainability in her practice, she recently achieved a zero–waste in her Final Major Project in which all remaining scrap fabric was utilised to create a bag as an accessory for her final look.
