Proposed Structure
Proposed StructureProposed structure for a physiotherapy centre in Brick Lane, focusing on allowing more natural light in and improve air circulation to create a healthy environment for users as well as employers. The former Boiler House allows for the integration of a mezzanine structure where consultation rooms can be placed.
Voids
VoidsA proposal for Zaha Hadid Foundation, turning an old Victorian school into an exhibition centre. The project is inspired by the empty forgotten spaces in between buildings, therefore it looks into ways by which these "voids" can be integrated within the design of spaces. From the outdoor/indoor connection to the floor pieces and free standing panels on which the artwork is hung. By placing them everywhere the design of these spaces forces the users to engage with the artwork and breaks through the barriers of traditional exhibition spaces.
Pink Animation studio
Pink Animation studioLocated in Southwark Park, Pink Animation introduces a new aesthetic to the area in hopes to attract local residents and wider community. The proposal accommodates animation offices, a sound recording studio, an outdoor screening space, two large gardens. The project strives to strengthen the Southwark community by bringing locals together to enjoy animation nights out in the open. The ground floor is mostly an open plan to allow for workshops and industry events to take place where local youth can showcase their talent. The gardens were designed to match the aesthetics of the building but they also incorporate sustainability strategies such as water collecting systems in the form of fountains and renewable energy systems in the form of photovoltaic panels.
