Angela Lin Chen is a fashion designer with overarching skills in pattern cutting, textiles and digital softwares. Chen's exploratory methods and avid predilection to learning new skills are showcased through her Final Major Project. Sweet Memories is a vibrant recollection of the Asian and Spanish candy she used to have during her childhood. The sentimental nostalgia translates to a series of experimental and playful sweet-like textiles, achieved through sublimation and screen printing techniques, which are wrapped around the body as if they were candy packaging. For her promotional work, she realised a short video through softwares like CLO3D, Adobe Substance Painter and Blender. In the video, a doll-like figure is moved through a conveyor belt and dressed in the garments, like sweets being wrapped in a food factory.
